Peruse the latest news about Sahara Sunset, as well as a year-round calendar of events and activities – both on-site and throughout the Costa del Sol. Test your knowledge at the weekly quiz night, enjoy live flamenco dancing, explore a nearby street fair or reserve your spot on an organised day trip to Marbella, Córdoba, Gibraltar or Tangier.

Málaga Feria

The annual Malaga city fair is an exuberant nine-day street party commemorating the re-conquest of the city by Isabella and Ferdinand in 1487. Expect plenty of flamenco, 'fino' (sherry) and a huge firework display!

FREE Flamenco

Enjoy a free Flamenco show performed in Virgen de la Peña square and spend time discovering Mijas Pueblo. One of the hidden gems of the Costa del Sol, the village boasts much of its original charm and nestles on the mountainside at 428 metres above sea level. Note: there is no organised tour for this event.

Día de Andalusia

Andalusia Day commemorates the passing of referendum for Andalusia to become an autonomous community within Spain. Stroll through town squares decorated with the region’s green and white flags or enjoy traditional food and entertainment at one of the local organised events.

Starlite Festival

Starlite is the best boutique festival in Europe with more than 46 days of music, culture and gastronomy. The diverse line-up includes concerts from Raphael, Il Divo and many other Spanish and international artists.

Annual Pool Maintenance

January and August

All pools undergo annual maintenance and cleaning. The main swimming pool in Royal Gardens will be closed in January and the indoor pool and whirlpool will be closed for two weeks in August. Pool maintenance turnaround will take approximately two weeks per pool.

Fuengirola Street Market

Noisy, colourful and entertaining, Fuengirola street market is great fun whether you plan to buy anything or not. For many generations it has provided the local community with a huge variety of products including beautiful fresh flowers, hand-made jewellery and clothes, eclectic antiques and traditional Andalusian products. Happy bargain hunting! Note: There is no organised tour to this event.
